Hello Relatives! My name is Marquel Begay and I am a proud member of the Diné (Navajo Nation). I am a Sloan scholar and PhD student in the Ecology, Management, and Restoration of Rangelands program at the University of Arizona School of Natural Resources and the Environment. I am a part of the Gornish Lab. My research and work focuses on ecological restoration, Indigenous knowledge, and food/water sovereignty for the Navajo Nation. I am passionate in serving and protecting my Diné People and our sacred ancestral homelands for the future generations to come. The purpose of this website is to share my research and projects for networking purposes. Ahéhee’! Thank you for visiting my website!
